WriteFest Write-Along
Thu 2 Nov 2023 9:00 AM - Fri 24 Nov 2023 5:00 PM GMT
Online, Zoom
Description
The Scotland Hub of The British Academy Early Career Research Network is organising an online ‘Write-Along’ writing retreat for WriteFest, held over zoom each Thursday and Friday in November. The aim is to provide a flexible space, with structure and accountability tools, to write with your peers and deepen our community of practice. We will provide optional resources to support your writing goals and invite you to join us as much as your time allows.
Days are designed to allow for you to attend flexibly – ideally for half or full days. Each morning and afternoon block starts with a goal-setting check-in, with writing sessions and regular check-ins and opportunities to reflect and set goals for your further work. Come to one or come to them all!
Thursday & Friday Schedule:
9:00 – 9:15 Check-in (Goal Setting)
9:15 – 10:45 Session A
10:45 – 11:15 Break
11:15 – 12:30 Session B
12:30 – 13:30 LUNCH BREAK (zoom closed)
13:30 – 13:45 Check-in (Goal Setting)
13:45 – 15:15 Session C
15:15 – 15:30 Break
15:30 – 16:45 Session D
16:45 – 17:00 Wrap-up
While you are welcome to come and go as needed, we suggest it will be most productive individually and collectively if you can plan to arrive promptly for morning and afternoon blocks (9am and 1:30pm start).
Tickets have been organised in AM or PM block sessions for each day. Please register for each session you plan to attend – accountability for you, planning help for us!
