Description
The British Academy Early Career Researcher Network brings together ECRs across the humanities and social sciences disciplines, regardless of their funding source or background.
This online event will explore three Wellcome’s Discovery Research funding schemes, which are open to research from any discipline and on any topic related to health and wellbeing. The talk will focus on opportunities for early-career researchers, and will include details about eligibility requirements, Wellcome’s Discovery Research remit, the application process and the assessment criteria.
We will be joined by Dr Thomas Bray, Senior Research Manager in the Early Career and Career Development Researchers team in Wellcome’s Discovery Research department, where he is responsible for early- and mid-career research in the arts, humanities, and social science. Tom completed a PhD on the history of social work at the University of Warwick, and joined the Humanities and Social Science team at Wellcome in February 2016.
