BA ECRN: Understanding menstruation through interdisciplinary lenses
Fri 11 Oct 2024 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM BST
University of St. Andrews
Description
The British Academy Early Career Researcher Network brings together ECRs across the humanities and social sciences disciplines, regardless of their funding source or background.

This event aims to illuminate the multidimensionality of menstruation. In this one day workshop, early career scholars will showcase their work in medicine, health, and cultural studies around the world as we explore menstruation from diverse perspectives including reproductive health, historical contexts, ethnographic studies, and beyond. Early career researchers will spend the day learning from two keynote speakers and from one another through a series of presentations and discussions. The workshop organisers will facilitate discussions on potential collaborations and the identification of gaps in existing frameworks aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of this fundamental aspect of human experience.
The target audience for the event includes Early Career Researchers (ECRs) interested in collaborating to secure larger grant funding, conducting mixed methods research, and expanding their network within the fields of health, population, and gender studies.
