Event Format - Online

Event Description

The South West and South Wales cluster of the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network invites you to an online gathering where we get to know each other and exchange knowledge, support and inspiration. Each meeting has a theme, often including a presentation and discussion, with ample time for networking, fostering new connections and collaborations across the region. Our intention is the topics and format of the events are ECR-driven.

Feel free to bring your lunch or coffee (children/pets in the room are totally fine). This is an informal and inclusive space to connect.

For more information about these events, and to feedback, please email Linda Lanyon.

Tuesday 15th April Topic

Continuing the REACH Principles: What does Reach IN, Reach OUT, Reach BEYOND mean for us as individuals and as a Network?

The principles were agreed by the ECR Advisory Group in October, 2024. In March we began our discussion focussing on the meaning of REACH IN to us. In this April meeting, we will extend our discussion to what REACH OUT and REACH BEYOND they mean to us, how they can help us as individuals and collectively. How can we best use the SWSW ECRN for connecting with others across the ECRN (Reach Out) and using the supportive ECRN environment to extend personal and professional skills (Reach Beyond)? We will discuss this together as a group and in smaller breakout groups which will allow time for connecting with each other.
