Description
The British Academy Early Career Researcher Network brings together ECRs across the humanities and social sciences disciplines, regardless of their funding source or background.
You are cordially invited to attend the second in-person Midlands Multidisciplinary Meet-up: Health and Wellbeing, organised by Loughborough University and the Midlands Hub of the BA ECR Network. The aim of this event is to provide all ECRs working on health and wellbeing in the Midlands an opportunity to come together to network, learn about each other’s research, and exchange ideas about how to tackle issues in the health and wellbeing research field.
The meet-up will take place on Thursday 29th September at 12:00noon to 4:00pm in the NCSEM building at the University of Loughborough.
The meet-up will start with a keynote talk from FBA Prof Hilary Graham (University of York), renowned for her research on health and social inequalities. This talk will be followed by break-out sessions running in parallel on the funding landscape in Health and Wellbeing/working with clinicians and clinical populations and engaging with the media/working with marginalised populations. Lunch, tea and coffee will also be provided.
Please note - the British Academy can reimburse for travel costs of up to £80. Please email us at ecr_network@thebritishacademy.ac.uk if you require support or would like more information.
