The British Academy Early Career Researcher Network brings together ECRs across the humanities and social sciences disciplines, regardless of their funding source or background.

This session focuses on collaboration and cross disciplinarity in creative practice research. Projects will be presented and discussed from a range of positions across fine art, music, environmental social science research, feminisms, and sculpture. A key area of discussion will be mentoring, and forms of knowledge exchanged with those operating outside the academy.
The day will run on a seminar format, with a series of short presentations and panel discussions followed by an open sharing of research practice experiences and a plenary session jointly hosted by Prof. Andrew Bick and Dr. Jon Wood.
Topics of the day will include sustaining creative practice research after the PhD, social commissioning, and hosting creativity as a sustainable research method, building impact from the early stages of practice-based research projects, working with external partners, creativity across diverse platforms.
Location
Frances Close Hall Campus followed by a reception at Hardwick Gallery, University of Gloucestershire.
