There is a moment in the Chinese solar calendar called 秋分 — the Autumn Equinox.

🍂 Equal day, equal night. For one breath, the year stands perfectly balanced — before it tips gently toward winter. This is the season of harvest — of gathering in what the year has given us, and keeping it somewhere safe.

This morning, we make the somewhere safe.

📖 THE ZINE · A Little Book of Your Harvest

From one sheet of craft paper, a few folds, one small cut — and suddenly you're holding a tiny book. Eight little pages. Easier than it sounds; I'll show you, step by step. That's the zine — an old, playful way of making a book with nothing but your hands.

Then comes the harvest. You'll fill your pages with flowers and leaves I've been collecting and pressing through the year — roses, lavender, ferns. Each page holds something the year gave you. A colour. A memory. A season you came through.

There's no right composition. You move things until something in you says: there. That noticing is the work.

Words are welcome but never required. Some books will be all petals. Some will have one line per page. Both are right.

🌱 ONE PAGE FOR SPRING

Alongside your book, you'll take home one loose page of seeded paper — full of wildflower seeds. This one doesn't stay in the book. In spring, you plant it. The page that becomes plants.

🍁 ONE FRESH PRESSING

Before we finish, you'll choose something fresh from the season — an autumn leaf, a late flower — and press it in your own small paper press to take home.

What you press today, you'll return with in spring. That's a promise between you and the season — I'll tell you more in the room.

🍵 TEA

Two cups hold the morning. Seasonal, chosen for Autumn Equinox 秋分.

THIS GATHERING IS FOR YOU IF

The year has been full, and you'd like to gather what it gave you — even the hard parts — into something you can hold.

You love the idea of working with nature — unhurried, on a Saturday morning, no art experience needed.

You've always liked the idea of making a tiny book with your own hands — and never knew how simple it is.

You like the idea of a small promise to your future self.

YOU'LL LEAVE WITH

Your little book of autumn — folded and filled by your hands.

One loose page of seeded paper, ready to plant in spring.

A small press with your own autumn pressing inside, waiting.

Your noticing card and a quieter mind.
