Aimed at supporting primary school children in p3-5 in the Forres schools catchment area to build their confidence, make new friends and improve their mental health and wellbeing, this project is funded by the Berryburn Community Fund.
The Forest School approach to learning is about holistic learning and development of the learner as a whole person, emotionally, physically, spiritually and intellectually. The learner is given the time, space and opportunity to explore and make their own discoveries.
In our 6 week programme, self-belief, resilience and confidence builds for learners from problem solving and learning new skills (fire and tools).
Sample Schedule (we continually risk assess and it may not be possible to run certain activities due to weather, fire warnings or other factors).
