Topic: Engaging The Withdrawer's Heart: From Protection to Emotional Risk in EFT

Training Summary: This training will deepen your understanding of the withdrawer’s attachment experience. You will learn how to move beyond behavior to the protective strategies, longings, and emotional risks that shape their cycle position. We will explore how to conceptualize the withdrawer in a nuanced way and how to track the subtle cues that signal readiness for engagement.Participants will learn concrete, practical interventions for accessing the withdrawer’s emotional world in both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of EFT. We’ll look at how to work with protection and de-escalation in Stage 1, and how to support emotional risk and enactments in Stage 2 without overwhelming or over-structuring. Through video examples, therapist micro-move analysis, and evocative group discussion, we’ll slow the process down and unpack what actually creates movement with withdrawers. The focus will be experiential, practical, and deeply attachment-centered with the goal of helping you feel more confident and precise in engaging the withdrawer’s heart.
