Men+ Day: A Guide to Mindful Living

Sun 17 May 2026 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM 3 Park Farm Cl, CT2 9NR

Join us for a day of meditation, discussion and ritual exploring the Buddha’s teaching on taking responsibility for a happy life – for ourselves and others.

The Buddha frequently summarised his entire teaching as, “I teach suffering and the end of suffering”. The Indian master Atisha expanded on this and it was formalised by the 17th Century Tibetan master Gampopa in his Jewel Ornament of Liberation. In Triratna, we often recite the Four Reminders, to bring to mind a sense of urgency and motivation to practise. They are; the preciousness of our Human birth, the impermanence of all things including this life, the law of karma - that actions have consequences and the reality of suffering.

What do we make of these teachings as a guide to mindful living? What can they teach us about living in a closer alignment and connection with reality? This will be a wonderful day to practice and connect with each other whilst exploring these themes.

A simple Vegan lunch will be provided but please consider bringing food offerings to share with everyone. The event is by donation so give as you can, all are welcome.
