Climate Week ELCAN Gathering

Join us for our early Autumn Climate Week ELCAN gathering. 

This will be a wonderful chance to connect with other ELCAN members and be inspired by projects unfolding across the region. You will also hear about our plans to constitute ELCAN and there will be the chance to experience sociocractic decision making; as well as the option to feed in ideas on how to reach out to different audiences in East Lothian. As usual, we will provide you a lovely platter of food, provided by the Fraser Centre, and we will have harpist Kate Young join us again.

This ELCAN gathering takes us back to the Fraser Centre in Tranent. The Fraser Centre is a brilliant community centre which serves as a hub of activities and gathering spaces for communities in Tranent. It also has a cinema and runs its own climate festival, the Wee Green Festival (in March).

This gathering will be a chance to connect, be inspired, see where collaborations may be possible, and grow our collective community power. There will be plenty time to mingle, share your own journey, grow your network, and be inspired in a warm and uplifting environment.

GATHERING AGENDA

Doors 6pm: Food and live music, by Kate Young.

Gathering meeting 7pm: Welcome and a celebration of projects followed by and sharing ideas. We collectively ask guests to share their good work, what has inspired or excited them.

ELCAN updates 7.30pm: Our news on Constituting ELCAN as a formal organisation and an overview of the gathering's breakout sessions.

Small group 'breakout sessions' 7.40pm: (Optional) Guests are invited to join our breakout sessions at tables, led by an ELCAN facilitator, to discuss the following topics:

• Constituting ELCAN as a formal organisation

• How can we reach out to wider networks
