Climate & Nature: what is possible in East Lothian
Kick-off your Haddstock by joining the East Lothian Climate Hub in a conversation on climate and nature: what action is taking place locally, what is possible and what would you like to see happen.
The East Lothian Climate Hub exists to upscale action: with our communities, with hope and with practical action. In this session you will be inspired by some of the big projects being born locally, contribute your ideas to them and learn how you can get involved in local action.
Some of the exciting initiatives we will hear from include:
- Balanced Horizon with it's landscape scale nature restoration visions;
- Lothian Heat who are building the foundations needed for a local, clean community-owned heat network;
- Tree Town Tranet plans to plant thousands of trees across the town;
- East Lothian Climate Hub's projects, from farming for nature and climate resilience, to hedgerow planting, to an energy collective.
After hearing about these local projects, we will have a community round table to get your input and ideas and discuss ways to get involved.
Doors open from 9.30am.
