Publicly-owned power is part of the national vision for energy.
With a move away from over-reliance on a handful large energy providers and volatile fossil fuel markets, UK and Scotland are supporting the growth of ambitious, locally-owned renewables. We want to look at how local and community owned developments can fit into the energy mix, while also serving the needs of the communities that own them. This session is for groups that are engaging with community energy, either ready plugged in and generating or just exploring their options.
As part of South East Scotland’s newly launched Energy Learning Network, the East Lothian Climate Hub is hosting a series of webinars funded by Community Energy Scotland. We invite community heat and energy groups from across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, and the Borders to get involved and share our knowledge.
