Outdoor Emergency First Aid training

Join other hedgerow restoration volunteers in a one day Emergency Outdoor First Aid training run by First Stop Safety Training at Athelstaneford Village Hall. 

The Emergency Outdoor First Aid course is a comprehensive course covering potential scenarios you
may find yourself in. There is sufficient content in this course to satisfy the requirements of HSE in
respect of Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW). Your ability is assessed throughout the day using a range of quizzes, questioning, games and scenarios.

On completion of the course a certificate will be emailed to you which is valid for 3 years.
The training will cover:

• What is outdoor first aid?
• First aid equipment
• Summon assistance
• Monitoring
• Scene survey
• Resuscitation
• Disorders of respiration
• Wounds and bleeding
• Hypovolaemic shock
