Screening of National Emergency Briefing
As part of Scotland’s Climate Week, the East Lothian Climate Hub invites ELCAN members as well as East Lothian Council members, Heads of Departments, elected representatives and councillors for a special screening of the National Emergency Briefing. This is also known as the People's Emergency Briefing.
This climate and nature film briefing features leading UK experts in climate science, weather extremes to food security, and aims to clarify the urgency of these crises for communities and our economy. With the first Net Zero targets less than 5 years away, and as we pass 1.5°C warming, it is a critical moment, for political leaders, council leaders and community leaders. Everyone who holds a role in helping to shape the future of East Lothian is warmly welcome. Following the film, we will host a structured discussion.
The event opens at 5.30pm where light finger food will be available as well as teas and coffees. The event welcome takes place at 6pm.
Programme for the evening:
