Edinburgh Conservation Film Festival: The Fraser Centre

An evening of wildly colourful stories of nature action

As part of Scotland’s Climate Week 2026, East Lothian Climate Hub and the Fraser Centre are hosting the Edinburgh Conservation Film Festival.

Puffins and poison dart frogs. Community-owned elephant sanctuaries and Scotland’s first marine conservation charity run by kids. See the projects and hear from the people making a difference to wildlife the world over.

Join us in Tranent for eight films telling wildly inspirational stories of nature action, from North Berwick to South Africa.

About The Edinburgh Conservation Film Festival

Since 2022 the ECFF has sought to celebrate conservation storytelling that informs, connects, and inspires.

Celebrating nature action around the World, the ECFF aims to show people the importance of biodiversity conservation for all of us, and to give agency to individuals to make positive impacts on global biodiversity. Each film selected for the programme must convey a positive message of what we can achieve for the benefit of biodiversity conservation and our shared society, highlighting humanity’s links with the natural world.

There will be a short discussion panel following the screening.
