Practical Hedgelaying training

A fantastic opportunity with local East Lothian Council Countryside Ranger, Kristian Purchase, to learn some of the practicalities of hedgelaying. During this two day session you will:

• spend time working on / refreshing yourself with basic hedgelaying techniques, accompanying hand tools, and safe working
• put into practice hedgelaying techniques

On both days there will be a lunch break at 12/12.30, with further hedgelaying after lunch

Please bring:

• Clothing: sturdy footwear, long sleeves, warm trousers, additional layers to stay warm and waterproof layers.
• Refreshments: Bring lunch and water. Refreshments and biscuits will be available (vegan and gluten free).

PPE will be provided on the day, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves and eye protection if you prefer.

This session is limited to 10 people only, who are interested in getting practically involved in hedgerow restoration in East Lothian as part of the wider East Lothian Hedgerow Restoration project. Over 18yrs only for this session.
