Spoon Carving - From Log to Spoon

This workshop is for people aged 18 years and over

Come and learn the craft of wooden spoon carving. The course is a day spent with me learning to carve a beautiful and functional wooden spoon. We’ll go through everything you need to know to transform a green wood log into a spoon.

Techniques will include:
- Wood selection
- Axing out a spoon blank
- Safe and efficient knife grips
- Hollowing the bowl
- Finishing oils
- Tool buying advice

Best of all, you’ll come away with all this knowledge and a spoon of your very own!

There will be a break for lunch during the day. The café will be open to purchase refreshments or you can bring your own picnic.
