Print Club - Screenprint

This session is fully booked, but please join the waiting list. If we have enough people on the waiting list we'll look to put on another session so that everyone who wants to gets a chance to join in.

Join us this year for Print Club, where each month we will try out a different style of printmaking in a relaxed, social atmosphere. A great opportunity to learn and experiment with multiple techniques over six sessions. No previous printmaking experience is needed, come and have a go and make some prints. Each session will run from 7pm - 9pm on the third Wednesday of the month. The studio doors will open at 6.45pm to give you time to have a drink and settle in.

Overview: Each month we will be experimenting with a different style of printmaking. In each two hour session there will be a quick demo of that month's printmaking technique and then it’s over to you to relax and experiment.

June's session will be Screenprinting, where we will work with different stencils and explore the versatility of this technique. 

Printmaker Lisa Benson will be leading the sessions with some assistance from with Lily, the studio manager and technician. Lisa has a curiosity for all things print, she loves sharing her knowledge and teaching the magical process of printmaking.

Materials and equipment: All materials and equipment will be provided.

Please note:

Clothing: We will be working with inks that do not easily wash out of clothing. Wear old clothes and bring an apron/old shirt etc. as cover-up. Avoid loose, dangly sleeves, which can be a safety hazard.

Parking: There is no on-site parking for visitors to East Quay. Harbour Road pay and display car park is convenient but costly. There is unrestricted parking along Doniford Road and other residential streets nearby. East Quay is just a short walk from here via Goviers Lane.

EAST QUAY PRINT STUDIO CANCELLATION POLICY

Please let us know as early as possible if you are unable to attend. For cancellations with at least 4 weeks notice, a full refund will be given. For cancellations made with less than 4 weeks notice, a refund will only be given if we are able to fill your space. If you do not attend a course and have not previously informed us, 100% of the fee will be retained by the studio.

IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL

We will keep you informed if there is any threat of a course not running or if there are not enough participants to make it viable. We will cancel at short notice only in the case of an emergency, such as illness of the tutors or extreme weather affecting access to and use of the building. We will do our best to give participants at least one weeks’ notice of cancellation. If we have to cancel a course you will receive a full refund.
