Conversation: How to roll a tyre

Join us for a studio visit with Incidental Artist Harriet Bowman and artist-curator Gavin Wade.

Becoming a rehearsal for a performance, an email conversation, a list of artworks and stream of consciousness haiku, the likely subjects of the conversation will roll from the life cycles of mosquitoes laying eggs in the water captured inside discarded car tyres on the other side of the world, to stunt drivers and the object status of sculpture, which are all part of Harriet’s ongoing exploration as an Incidental Artist and 2025–2026 Wheatley Fellow.

This studio visit is an in person event which will take place across the main gallery of Eastside Projects. Please arrive at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.
