Good mental health is an important component of a healthy and productive work environment. Awareness training empowers employers and employees understanding of mental health issues, allows them to recognise mental health problems in themselves and others, and encourages open conversations about mental wellbeing.

This half-day Mental Health Awareness course from RYP Wellbeing is designed to give participants a better understanding of mental health, and the skills and knowledge needed to address and challenge stigma. The course provides a basic knowledge of some of the more common mental health issues, advice and guidance on how to take care of our own mental health and wellbeing, and the confidence to help and support others who may be in crisis or experiencing a mental health issue.

By developing a better understanding mental health, employers can create more supportive working environments that encourage a healthier mental state for their employees, leading to higher productivity and engagement, lower staff turnover, better team dynamics, and reduced legal or compliance risks.

This course will take place online using Zoom. Delegates are also required to complete the RYP Wellbeing registration in order to ensure they receive the course materials before the session. Attendees will receive a certificate upon completion.

This course is free to all organisations registered with the East Sussex Wellbeing at Work programme, however failure to attend on the day may result in a charge to your employer.
