Menopause Café Facilitator Training

Learn how to create open, empowering spaces for menopause conversations in your workplace.

Menopause Cafés are friendly, inclusive events where people of any age or gender can come together to talk openly about the menopause. Open to all, and designed to break taboos and normalise conversation, menopause cafés bring people together in a confidential, respectful setting where every voice is valued.

About the Facilitator Training

Delivered by RDPI, this full‑day training is designed for anyone interested in planning or running a Menopause Café within their workplace. It is suitable for new facilitators as well as those already running cafés who want to strengthen their skills and confidence.

What the training covers

This one day session is delivered over three parts. The course covers the foundations of Menopause Cafes, their purpose and their impact. You’ll learn about possible risks and safeguarding considerations, be guided on what permissions or organisational backing you may need, and most importantly, how to look after your own wellbeing as a facilitator. You’ll also be given the practical skills needed to plan, promote and structure your café, learn how to host open conversations and draw out discussion topics, and be given the opportunity to practice running a café session in a safe learning environment.

What you’ll gain

Confidence to run engaging, supportive Menopause Cafés, a clear framework for planning and delivery, and skills needed for managing group-led conversations.

Who is this training for?

Anyone interested in supporting others through the menopause transition in the workplace. No previous facilitation experience is required, just an open mind and a desire to help people feel heard.
