Need help?
Be part of an urgent conversation about VAWG in Thanet.
Feel empowered to call out misogyny and take a stand against sexual harassment.
All women and girls have a right to feel safe in all places and at all times but the reality is too many of us don't.
East Thanet Labour Women have joined forces with our MP Polly Billington, Oasis Domestic Abuse Service, Power of Women Thanet, local TDC Cllrs and local singer/songwriter and women’s safety advocate, Daisy Foster to host this much-needed conference for young women to share information about the rise of Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) in our neighbourhoods and to share ideas about how to combat it.
Interactive workshops will focus on healthy relationships, safer spaces, local support networks, online harms and plans for halving VAWG in our district. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion, networking and information gathering with an aim to amplify our collective voice to ensure VAWG is not only taken seriously in our local schools, businesses, public services and local government but also actively addressed.
Tickets are free of charge to include a light lunch.
