Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes - Coercive Control Training

The Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes Campaign was a pilot project led by Dr Sunsan Lagdon, Senior Lecturer in Psychology at University of Ulster.
The campaign uses the well-known nursery rhyme as a mnemonic to help individuals "check in" with themselves and identify how coercive control might be affecting them physically and emotionally. You may already have seen posters and campaign information displayed in public spaces and community organisations throughout North Belfast and other areas.
Sarah Louise (NBAP AYW) and Neve Robinson (Newlodge YC) along with Ulster University and other youth agencies have been involved in the dedicated resource pack for youth workers. This training has already been delivered across Belfast and had excellent feedback from staff in attendance.
This training has now been made available for youth workers from across the Statutory and Community & Voluntary Sector. All those in attendance will leave with a copy of the full resource kit.
Unfortunately, lunch will not be provided at the training, staff are encouraged to bring their own.
