EVAWG Conference: Beyond This Room

Join us for an inspiring and interactive conference designed by young people, for young people.

Created and led by the EVAWG (Ending Violence Against Women and Girls) Ambassadors, this event will empower participants to explore how small everyday actions can make a big difference in creating safer communities and preventing violence against women and girls.

Through engaging workshops, discussions and youth-led activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing young people today, including coercive control, online harms and harmful behaviours that can occur in physical, cyber, mental and social environments.

The conference will provide practical tools, real-life insights and opportunities for young people to build confidence as active bystanders, challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, and become advocates for positive change within their schools, youth groups and communities.

By the end of the conference, participants will:

• Recognise risks across physical, cyber, mental and social environments.
• Develop confidence to challenge harmful behaviours.
• Understand the impacts of coercive control and online harms.
• Explore practical prevention and intervention strategies.

Event start: 10am
Event close: 4pm

Spaces are limited to 10 young people per youth group/organisation accompanied by 2 youth workers.
