Join us for an evening discovering the hidden world of bats.
As dusk falls, we’ll begin with a short introduction to the bats you’re likely to encounter and how to use a bat detector. As darkness sets in, we’ll head out to listen and watch for bats as they emerge to feed along the beautiful River Severn.
This is a relaxed, guided session suitable for beginners, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn more about these fascinating and often misunderstood animals. Bat detectors will be provided.
Your guide is Matthew Terry, who has extensive knowledge of Britain's bats and over a decade's experience of leading bat walks. Walks are risk assessed and fully covered by public liability insurance.
Tickets are £10 per adult, £5 for under-16s. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a gentle circular walk of no more than 2km. Full details, including the exact meeting location, will be provided after booking. Free parking is available at the starting point.
