Economic Justice Brum Post-Summer Networking Social

An informal post-summer networking social of inspiration and conversation with people committed to building a fairer economy for Birmingham. (Please note: This is a rescheduled event that was postponed in June due to the heatwave).

Whether you're a regular at Economic Justice Brum network meetings or events, haven't joined us for a while and would like to reconnect, or passionate about creating a city where everyone can thrive and curious to learn more about Economic Justice Brum, come along to our post-summer social networking event to kick off a new season of network gatherings.

We'll be in the beautiful surroundings of Lightwoods House and Shakespeare Gardens. The informal social gathering will be an opportunity to meet and talk with others who are passionate about creating a fairer, more inclusive economy for Birmingham.

During the after work social, you'll hear from inspiring changemakers from within the Economic Justice Brum network who are leading practical justice work in their own respective spheres of work in communities across the city. You will hear about practical projects, initiatives and community action helping to build a fairer and more inclusive Birmingham.

From initiatives supporting residents in Hodge Hill to take action and make a difference in their own neighbourhoods, a changemaker from Erdington who saw the impact of poverty on local families and stepped up to create practical support, and organisations working alongside grassroots communities to nurture local leadership, strengthen neighbourhoods and empower people to create positive change where they live.

Also hearing from Cathy Brown, Head of Economic Justice Brum, about the network's ambitions and exciting five-year vision for growing a stronger movement for economic justice across Birmingham.
