ECO Platform Round Table - LCA Calculation Rules – 9 April

ECO Platform has recently issued new ECO Platform Standards, to replace the information which was previously included in the Verification Guidelines V6, and updated the requirements.

There is now an overarching document providing General Remarks, and two separate documents - LCA Calculation Rules and Verification Guidelines - which are both to be followed by ECO Platform EPD Programmes.

Changes in this update include the scope of EPD covered by ECO Platform, the requirement to use CEN Technical Committee c-PCR to EN 15804, the use of market-based approaches to energy and an embargo on the use of mass balance and book and claim approaches in ECO Platform EPD.

This Round Table will give the participants the opportunity to learn about the background to these changes, understand the technical aspects in more detail, and to ask questions to ensure they understand the changes that have been made and the implications this will have for ECO Platform EPD Programmes, their verifiers and their EPD.
