Thank you for joining us on the Conservation Mapping Walk. This event is an opportunity to explore our local area, identify opportunities for conservation, and enhance biodiversity together. The walk is about 4 miles/2 hours in the immediate vicinity of Titchfield Village.
Below, you’ll find all the information you need to make the most of the walk. This is a local outdoor activity and as such all persons over 18 years old are completely responsible for themselves, with all persons under 18 needing to be escorted by an adult family member.

- Duration: Approximately 4 miles, suitable for all ages 7 and up.

Important Information for Participants
1. Safety First
- The walk will be guided by an event host and an environmental expert to ensure safety and provide insights during the activity.
- Under 18s: All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult family member.
Please follow any instructions from your hosts
2. What to Bring
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, including sturdy footwear and a coat.
- A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Any personal medication you may need.
- Please do not bring your dog in case of upsetting other participants
3. Route and Accessibility
- The route is local to the village and nearby properties. It has been carefully planned to avoid steep or challenging terrain, making it suitable for most participants.
- If you have any concerns about accessibility, please let us know in advance.
4. Staying Safe on the Walk
- Trip Hazards: The route may have some uneven ground or small obstacles (e.g., tree roots). Please watch your step.
- Traffic: Be cautious near roads, especially the crossing on the A27
- Weather: Check the forecast and come prepared for rain or shine.
5. Emergency Information
- The location of the defibrillator at the Jubilee Surgery (next to Barry’s Meadow car park) will be highlighted before departure.
- In case of an emergency, contact the emergency services on 999
6. Respecting the Environment
- Please stick to paths and avoid disturbing wildlife or damaging plants.
- Please do not drop litter and keep your rubbish to dispose of when back home.
7. COVID-19 Guidance
- Please stay at home if you feel unwell.
8. Staying Together
- The group will stay together during the walk.
- A headcount will be taken at the start and end of the event.
9. Village Hall Facilities
- Parking and toilet facilities are available in Barry’s Meadow car park
- Avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle.
