There is a five-foot sound creation gong in our living room. When it speaks, you feel it before you hear it — in the sternum, in the back of the skull, somewhere behind the eyes. It is one of the largest gongs in the DC-Maryland-Virginia region, and an evening in its presence tends to go places words have trouble following.

Join Kaelan and Anthony for a two-hour immersive sound journey in their Chinatown home temple — a space built over years as a sanctuary for meditation, ritual, and the healing arts. Alongside the planetary gong, the room holds crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, hand drums, and other resonant instruments that together create a layered, living field of sound and vibration.

We begin with breathwork to settle the nervous system and arrive fully in the body. From there, the sound takes over. Some people experience deep stillness. Some feel emotion move through them and release. Some see things behind their closed eyes they weren't expecting. Most simply disappear for a while — which, it turns out, is exactly what the body needed.

This is an intimate gathering. Twelve people, a sacred space, and instruments that have been held in practice for years.

Please arrive 15 minutes early — the journey begins on time and late entry is not possible. Wear comfortable clothing you can lie down in. Our pets may make a brief appearance; they are all hypoallergenic. Incense and candles are part of the ceremonial atmosphere.
