Mental Health First Aid Training
Everyone should be able to talk freely about mental health. MHFA England are on a mission to train one in ten people in mental health knowledge, awareness, and skills, because the right support can make a lasting difference.
Created with the help of clinical experts and those with lived experience, our training is grounded in research. We help people recognise the signs of poor mental health, gain the confidence to start a conversation, and know how to signpost to professional support.
A practical skills and awareness course designed to give you:
A deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect people’s well-being, including your own
− Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
− Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
− Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgmental listening
− Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support
How will attending this course help?
Research and evaluation shows that taking part in an MHFA England course:
− Raises awareness and mental health literacy
− Reduces stigma around mental ill-health
− Boosts knowledge and confidence in dealing with mental health issues
− Promotes early intervention which enables recovery
The training is delivered by an accredited MHFAider qualified trainer over 4 x half day ONLINE sessions: ALL of which must be attended so please only book a place if you can attend ALL SESSIONS.
