Session 1: From Prompt to Pedagogy – Designing AI-Integrated Assignments
Focus: Translating Adobe Firefly workflows into structured classroom assignments.
Session Overview
In this session, faculty move from conceptual understanding into actionable curriculum design. Participants will explore how Adobe Firefly and Creative Cloud Pro Plus can be used to structure assignments that emphasize ideation, iteration, and refinement while maintaining student authorship.
Participants will:
Design assignments that integrate Firefly as an ideation and iteration engine.
Connect Firefly outputs to Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Structure deliverables that include prompt documentation, visual iteration, and final execution.
Integrate Content Credentials into the submission process to ensure transparency and authorship.
Pedagogical Philosophy: The “Process as Product” Model
Shift the Submission: The process, including prompts and iterations, becomes as important as the final artifact.
AI as Cognitive Scaffold: Firefly supports thinking and exploration rather than replacing it.
Structured Creativity: Constraints within Adobe workflows guide intentional design decisions.
Outcome:
Faculty develop a classroom-ready assignment framework using Firefly and Creative Cloud to support ideation, execution, and transparent authorship.
