Session 5: Faculty Creative Lab – Building Adobe-Based Teaching Materials
Focus: Creating classroom-ready materials using Firefly and Creative Cloud.
Session Overview
In this hands-on lab, faculty apply the day’s concepts to create teaching materials that can be immediately deployed in their courses. All work must be developed within Adobe Creative Cloud Pro Plus and incorporate Firefly.
Participants will:
- Develop one of the following:
Assignment brief (InDesign or Adobe Express)
Lecture demonstration (Firefly + Photoshop workflow)
In-class exercise (Firefly Boards + prompt iteration)
Assessment template tied to Adobe artifacts
Integrate Content Credentials and prompt documentation into their materials.
Align materials with their discipline and course level.
Pedagogical Philosophy: The “Build to Implement” Model
Immediate Application: Faculty create materials they will actually use.
Learning by Making: Active creation reinforces understanding.
Teaching Through Tools: Adobe becomes both the medium and the method.
Outcome:
Faculty leave with a completed teaching asset built within the Adobe ecosystem, ready for classroom use.
