Led by Edible Magazine San Luis Obispo’s digital producer and owner of Christiana’s Preserves, Christiana Christian will guide a jam workshop creating a fruit and herb infused jam. Enjoy an afternoon of learning the ins and outs and all the fun science of canning and jam making, get down to what herbs and flowers pair well with different fruits in jams, and take in a demo by Christiana showcasing her perfected technique as she shares her tried and tested recipes - that you'll get to help make. Light bites, Sinor-Lavallee Wines and nonalcoholic beverages are included. Leave with a personalized jam-making cookbook to take home.

About Christiana

Growing up in the Los Angeles area, Christiana was raised by parents who valued homemade baked bread, harvesting from their garden, and canning fruits and vegetables. At age 17 she began culinary school and fell in love with the art of creating food. She has worked as a private chef, in professional kitchens, and as a culinary expert for Williams-Sonoma. She is an experienced jam maker and runs a preserves business working with local farms to create small-batch gourmet jams and jellies. As a content producer she creates culinary content for brands such as Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar, Talley Farms, Edible Magazine (of course!), and other food-based businesses.
