ECGX - Edinburgh College Games eXpo 2025

Edinburgh College Games eXpo rides again!

ECGX is the end of year show for both Edinburgh College game dev students and the local game dev community!

Everyone is invited to this free evening! Bring your gang along to play some games, including hot new projects by local indie game developers as well as FE and HE level game dev students from Edinburgh College, and have the opportunity to chat with the devs and share your feedback.

If...

• you're interested in studying game dev and want to know more...
• if you're a hobbyist or game developer and you have wisdom to share...
• if you want to meet some folks in the local game dev community or in game dev education...
• or if you just want to try out some games...

...then this is for you!

There will also be refreshments provided! (Sandwiches, nibbles, soft drinks etc.)

Last year's event at CodeBase was a huge success, so we're going back! We'll see you at 37a Castle Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2EL

Student Games

Challenged with this year's theme of "Lifeforms", Edinburgh College students will be presenting the following titles for at the Expo:

Bifrost Brawl, Come Bye, Cosmic, Creature Inc., Crypted, Diggy Hole, Epic Wizard Game, Evolunarium, Farm & Field, Farm Monster, Htrae's Trail, If Such a Feat, In the Bubble, Keeno, Monster Rush, Overgrow, Project Uno, Roman Numeral One, Shapeshifter, Sports-Wall, Survivors,  Gambit, The Three Mushketeers, Time Defence, Tower Platformer, and Trespasser Deep!

As well as student games from both FE and HN game dev classes, indie developers will showcasing their their latest projects! Come and meet:

• Amicable Animal - Developer of SOLAS 128, showing their music/puzzler CRT7 and their brand new platformer Upfall
• Ant Workshop - Developer of Binaries, Dungeon Golf and Dead End Job showing their recent hit Into the Restless Ruins and a new, unannounced project
• College Fun Games - with their adventure game The Protagonish
• Either/Or - with their Kickstarter hit Give Up the Ghost
• Fallible Things - Developer of Shortly Departing From with their new title The Museum of Dead Card Games
• Rai Dao Zao - with their isometric mech battler Exon.
• Robin Johnson - Developer of Detectiveland, showing his Gruescript driven text adventures and a new mysterious roguelike!
• Socks Off - with their narrative-driven racing game Turbo 16
