Schubert: A Journey Through His String Quartets

Caroline Shaw's Entr'acte was written as a direct response to Haydn's Op. 77 No. 2 (the quartet that opened our first programme), taking his classical poise and bringing it somewhere shimmering and different. Alongside the Shaw, we will perform Schubert's Quartet in E major, D.353, from 1816, as our journey through his quartets continues.
