EDINBURGH SHORT FILM FESTIVAL: SHORT SHORTS & ASIA PRESENT JAPANESE SHORTS

Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) is one of the largest international short film events in Asia. Founded in Tokyo in 1999 to introduce Japanese audiences to the emerging medium of short-form cinema, the annual festival showcases diverse, creative short films from over 100 countries, serving as a major launch pad for global cinematic talent.

We’re excited to present a night of Japanese short films, curated by Short Shorts & Asia, from quirky, engaging drama to taut urban thrillers, alongside clever and original time travel comedy.

Through the medium of short film, we’re exploring contemporary Japanese short film and culture.
