The Compassion Fatigue Symposium educates professional and family caregivers through interactive education and training on self-healing techniques. The Symposium targets those who experience the emotional and physical fatigue common to those who are caring for others.
EDUCARE aims to increase awareness for these individuals and provide them with practical techniques to mitigate the effects of compassion fatigue.
Participants will leave this full-day conference feeling renewed, refreshed, and ready to face the responsibilities of caring for others.
The Symposium will offer 6.25 credit hours of continuing education (1.75 Ethics credits) a certificate of completion, for both the live and pre-recorded session.
Our keynote speaker this year is Elaine Sanchez, "Finding Hope, Humor & Heart in Caregiving." Attendees will laugh more than they cry as they learn how to tame their anger monster, how to stop feeling guilty when they haven't done anything wrong, and how developing an "Attitude of Creative Indifference" can reduce stress.
