9-time GRAMMY®-nominated vocalist Tierney Sutton and virtuosic pianist Tamir Hendelman celebrate the release of their new duo album, Spring. Recorded live after a run of Spring 2025 tour dates, the album captures the effortless chemistry between two voices as they bloom through moods that feel hopeful, tender, swinging, and quietly electric. Drawing from a beautifully curated songbook that includes Antônio Carlos Jobim, Johnny Mercer, Peggy Lee, and Paul Simon, they reimagine these classics with warmth, restraint, and a sense of discovery that makes each track feel freshly born, just like the season that inspired them. Though cut as a live set, Spring delivers audiophile-level polish, blending spontaneity with exquisite sonic craft —an album that feels intimate, alive, and made for repeat listens as the days get longer and the light shines through.
Tierney Sutton has received 8 Nominations for “Best Jazz Vocal Album” and a 9th for arranging. Known for her impeccable voice and superbly imaginative arrangements, Sutton is heralded for her ability to transform even the most familiar song into a revelation. She is a story-teller. Her 15 recordings as leader have addressed themes such as materialism and the pursuit of happiness as well as paying tribute to the music of Bill Evans, Frank Sinatra and Sting. Since 1993 Sutton has fronted the Tierney Sutton Band, but the pandemic found Tierney deepening her collaboration with piano powerhouse Tamir Hendelman. Director Clint Eastwood has called Sutton “my favorite singer,” and she has given workshops and masterclasses throughout the world and has taught and mentored some of the finest new generation of singers including Sara Gazarek and Gretchen Parlato.
Whether leading the Tamir Hendelman Trio or as a long time member of the Jeff Hamilton Trio and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, award-winning pianist-composer Tamir Hendelman is known for his dynamic and sensitive touch and imaginative arranging. Hendelman has toured and recorded with Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand, Roberta Gambarini, and in duo with Tierney Sutton in venues from the US to Europe to Japan. Since moving from Tel Aviv to Los Angeles and winning Yamaha’s national keyboard competition in his youth, Hendelman has appeared on recordings by Paul McCartney, Michael Buble and Diana Krall, has performed with Benny Golson, Eddie Henderson, Houston Person, James Moody and Sean Jones, and has arranged for Richard Galliano, Lori Bell, Graham Dechter and Claudio Roditi. Since 2005 he has taught at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music’s Global Jazz Studies department.
