Electro Jazz Orchestra Returns to the MICA Centre!

A Big Band for the 21st Century

Back by popular demand! The Electro Jazz Orchestra returns to the MICA Centre for another spectacular evening of live music, bringing the power, excitement and sheer energy of a traditional big band firmly into the 21st century.

Forget everything you think you know about big bands! Based in Colchester, Essex, this dynamic 20-piece orchestra combines outstanding musicianship, imaginative arrangements and a touch of modern technology to create a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly different.

Following their previous appearance at the MICA Centre, the orchestra returns with another exciting programme of music drawn from jazz, funk, soul, pop, film and television. Expect familiar favourites, unexpected musical twists and some surprising interpretations of well-known tunes, all performed with the unmistakable sound and energy of a full big band.

With powerful brass, soaring saxophones, a driving rhythm section and a healthy dose of humour, the Electro Jazz Orchestra delivers everything from beautiful, atmospheric moments to the exhilarating sound of 20 musicians playing at full throttle.

But this is no ordinary big band! While the orchestra celebrates the great traditions of big band music, it isn't afraid to break a few rules along the way. The result is a hugely entertaining concert that appeals just as much to those discovering big band music for the first time as it does to lifelong jazz enthusiasts.

Whether you enjoyed their previous visit or are coming along for the first time, join the Electro Jazz Orchestra at the MICA Centre for another unforgettable evening of great music, infectious energy and plenty of surprises.

Big band music, reimagined. And definitely not stuck in the 1940s!
