Internal Family Systems
In this workshop series you will immerse yourself in the Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) model of psychotherapy. IFS Level 2 trained Mary Sdraulig, Clinical Psychotherpist, will offer a 2 Day Introductory IFS workshop, followed by a 2 Day Deepening IFS workshop.
Introduction (2 days)
Participants in the 2 Day Introductory Workshop will learn the basics of the IFS approach from the ground up. No previous knowledge is assumed. Suitable for professionals (therapists, psychologists, counsellors, certified coaches, expressive and therapeutic arts practitioners, and social workers). The Applied Deepening, as well as certified Trainings for Level 1 will be a natural next step to those who have completed the Introductory workshop.
This two day Introductory workshop is an opportunity for presentations, demonstrations, experiential learning by doing, and provides a safe space to develop a comfortable facility with the powerful attitudes and techniques that make IFS so effective. The sessions here provide deeper learning and some opportunity to work in small groups with maximum in-the-seat learning in a supportive atmosphere. A number of experienced assistants will coach and support triads in live learning sessions.
Deepening (2 days)
The focus in the Deepening days is on further understanding the IFS approach, model and techniques through a series of exercises, demos and discussions. In this workshop you will see the application of the Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) model Live Demos. The focus is on getting a lived ‘in-the-room’ sense of IFS in practice. Attendees may volunteer for the client role to experience the efficacy of the Self-led model. Participants in the following Deepening Workshop must have completed an Introduction to IFS to register.
