What: "The Idea Hour"

This is the only IDEA Hour "Where Entrepreneurs Align." The IDEA Hour is a participatory event of Eliances that is available by invite only.

Emagine having a way to bounce plans and opportunities off other members in a quiet and focused setting where you can really explore ideas.

Objective: to gather to exchange ideas, present and offer substantive feedback on members' plans or ideas, and promote new business relationships. This is an interactive, group experience, whether you have an idea, looking for ideas, launched the concept or looking to expand.

Members will gather to exchange ideas, present plans, offer substantive feedback, and build new relationships.

IDEA HOUR PRESENTATION FORMAT

The IDEA Hour is to help members with a new idea or new project to launch, not meant to pitch or promote a current business.

I. OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Idea Hour is to allow members of Eliances to attend a private group meeting for purposes of exchanging ideas; to allow such members to receive feedback on their ideas to facilitate content creation; and to allow members to develop business relationships in order to capitalize on such ides. Presenters present their idea to other Eliances’ members. Following the presentation, Eliances’ members provide the presenter with feedback on their idea.

The Idea Hour is a closed meeting and the ideas exchanged will remain with their creator and will not be appropriated by other Eliances’ members in attendance. Participation in an Idea Hour event is limited to Eliances’ members in good standing. No guests are allowed to participate.

II. FORMAT Idea Hour presenters are requested to follow the following format:

A. What is your idea? (brief summary)

B. How did you come up with the idea?

C. Is the idea unique or is it something that is already on the marketplace that you seek to improve?

D. Why is your idea important?

E. How can the Eliances’ community help you?

1. By means of feedback – both good and bad.

2. By people joining with you to work on expanding the idea and bringing it to the marketplace.

Those selected to present will have 8 minutes to present the idea and 12 minutes for feedback. Typically, a 30-minute breakout session is held after all the presenters selected to allow presenters to receive more one-on-one feedback from Eliances’ members.
