Raise the Ruins! An Evening of Contra Dancing

We are excited to host this fun event at the Tea Barn, a beloved piece of Fair Hill history. If you've never been to a contra dance, you're in for a treat. You won't want to miss it!

Lively music is provided by Strings on Wings duo Barb Schmidt and Todd Clewell, with caller Terry Bachman leading us through the dances. Similar to square dancing, contra has roots in European and Appalachian social dances. Unlike line dancing, however, there's no fancy footwork to remember. It's very beginner-friendly and you'll be do-si-do-ing in no time.

A generous hors d'oeuvres buffet and complimentary drink are included. Come hungry! Cash bar features local favorite Old Stone Cider on tap and our own signature mixed drinks, as well as wine, beer and soda. 

Bring your best bids to the silent auction to snag fabulous items from native artisans and area businesses. All proceeds from this fundraiser go toward preservation of the historic Bee Hive buildings. You can find out more about them - and this event - on our website.
