Skate to Donate with ellenor at Bluewater ⛸️🎄

Enjoy some festive fun on the ice and help make a difference!

Join us at The Ice Rink at Bluewater for two special Skate to Donate sessions, generously provided by Bluewater in support of ellenor.

Whether you’re planning a family outing, a festive get-together with friends or simply want to enjoy some time on the ice, this is a wonderful opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit while supporting local families.

📅 Choose your skating session

• Thursday 26th November 2026
• Thursday 10th December 2026

Session time: 8pm on both dates
Session length: 45 minutes
Location: The Ice Rink at Bluewater, outside The Village, Bluewater Shopping Centre, Greenhithe, Kent, DA9 9ST.

🎟️ Tickets and donations

Bluewater is generously providing these skating sessions, with all proceeds from donations going directly to ellenor.

• Suggested donation: £5 per skater. Every donation helps ellenor provide vital care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
• Everyone attending must have a ticket, including adults accompanying children who are not skating. Donations are requested for skaters only.
• We recommend booking in advance to secure your place at your chosen session. You can also turn up on the day, but tickets are subject to availability, so we cannot guarantee a space without a booking.
• Please ensure everyone in your party has a ticket, including non-skating spectators and accompanying adults.

⛸️ Getting ready to skate

• Skate hire is included in your session.
• Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your session starts to allow time to collect and fit your skates, so you can enjoy your full 45 minutes on the ice.
• Penguin and seal skate aids are available for little ones and anyone who would appreciate extra help with balance and confidence. These are limited and subject to availability.
• Wear warm, comfortable clothing, gloves and thick socks, as it can get very cold on the ice.
• Please follow the rink's safety instructions and staff guidance throughout your session.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Important information for families

• Children under 12 must be supervised by a responsible adult.
• Children under 8 must have an adult skating on the ice with them.
• Please ensure that children are appropriately supported and follow the rink's guidance on the use of skate aids.
• A viewing area is available for spectators who would like to watch without skating.

🚗 Plan your visit

• Parking: Bluewater offers free parking, with The Village Car Park being a convenient option for the rink.
• Food and drink: There are cafés and a wide choice of restaurants within Bluewater Shopping Centre, ideal for a festive treat before or after skating.
• Belongings: Please bring only what you need, as storage for coats, bags and shopping may be limited.
