Kingdom Come

What happens when you remember a different version of home - and home remembers a different version of you? 

Kingdom Come is a solo show about the journeys that one takes in a single day and the unexpected discoveries that come from looking closely at what’s familiar. As one Brave, Horny Lesbian (Lena) unenthusiastically travels back home to Tennessee for her mother’s upcoming surgery, things get turned upside down: all that’s straight and Catholic is gay and all that’s gay is buried deep underground. As tension between Lena and her well-mannered, gentrified hometown escalate, memories surface of travels abroad and the awakenings that distance made possible. Tracing the threads that connect faraway places, Lena uncovers the people that made her adult life possible and the history that she’s intent on keeping alive.

Expect song, movement and a slew of unforgettable characters.
