Remembrance Parade 2026

Join us as we come together to honour the service and sacrifice of those who have given their lives in conflict. All members are invited to attend the annual Remembrance Parade, where we will represent our Group and the wider Scouting movement in paying our respects.

Young people will take part in the civic procession, observe the two-minute silence, and join the wreath-laying ceremony alongside other community organisations. This event provides an important opportunity for reflection, remembrance, and demonstrating our commitment to the Scout values of respect and care.

Uniform Requirements

Full uniform must be worn for this event. A detailed uniform guide will be sent out in advance, but as a reminder:

• Young people should wear the full uniform for their section (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, etc.).

• Scarves should be clean and neatly ironed.

• All badges must be in the correct locations. Leaders will support this during the section meeting before the parade to make sure everyone is correctly prepared.

Appropriate outdoor clothing (such as a coat) may be worn depending on the weather, but uniform should remain visible wherever possible.

Parents and carers are welcome to attend as spectators, but we ask that young people remain with their section leaders throughout.
