Let’s Talk Cannabis: Surviving Summertime

Summertime is around the corner! Join us for an evening of conversation about the best ways to safely incorporate cannabis into your summer.

Hosted by the Cannabis Education and Research Center, “Let’s Talk Cannabis: Surviving Summertime” is ideal for cannacurious individuals who feel more comfortable when they know as much as they can about something new.  The event is sponsored by Elucidation Strategies, Float Haven Health Spa, Pitman Wellness Center, and Gem Life Collective.

At this public cannabis education event, we’ll talk about:

• What’s the deal with traveling with cannabis? What’s allowed and what’s not?
• What’s the best way to store cannabis? What about the best way to pack?
• Are cannabis beverages the same as edibles like gummies and baked goods?
• How do I deal with accidental overconsumption? Is there a remedy?
• Adding cannabis to food - what resources should I look at?
• When I’m at a party, what should I know if I’m consuming cannabis and alcohol?
• How do I figure out how much to consume?
• Wait, there are actually cannabis-themed vacations?
• Is it just my imagination, or does food actually taste different, sometimes better, after consuming cannabis?
• When I’m on vacation, where can I consume? How will I know for certain?

Anyone who has previously attended a “Let’s Talk Cannabis” event who brings a friend will receive a special gift for helping us to spread the word.

The evening will feature giveaways, a wellness savings bundle, and light refreshments. 

Tickets are free. However, to help cover costs, participants are encouraged to provide a $10 cash donation at the door. Space is limited; registration is required.

I’ve never consumed cannabis, but I keep hearing about its health benefits. Is this the right event for me?

Yes! This event is perfect for anyone who wants to learn the basics from an experienced person, rather than a nephew, brochure, or a search engine.

Do I have to have a medical cannabis card to participate?

No.

Will I be able to get answers to my questions about CBD, edibles, and choosing the right product?

Yes, yes, and yes. You’ll be able to talk with a knowledgeable cannabist to learn about these topics and many more.

I can’t make it to this one, but I’m really interested in participating. Will you have more of these? Yes.
