Welcome to my Sound Bath Meditation sessions! My name is Laura and I am a Sound Healer and Music Therapist. Sound Baths are an opportunity for you to relax and unwind in a comfortable and holistic space surrounded by the healing vibrations of a variety of instruments. In my practice I focus on using crystal singing bowls, Tibetan metal singing bowls, koshi chimes, Ocean drums, rainsticks, kenari chimes, sonic energy flow chimes, dragon energy chimes and other relaxing sounds to help aid meditation and full body healing. Sessions take place in groups with each individual finding a comfortable position lying on the foam mats, or padded ones and can choose to cover themselves with a blanket. Each session begins with a short guided meditation before the sound bath begins. Sessions are held in Victoria Hall, Fordham. There will be sensory lights and pleasant smells from a diffuser to help aid your relaxation, and lighting will be dimmed inside. There is parking available on site in the large carpark behind the hall. You can come in through the small white back door through the kitchen or through the main front doors of the hall. As sessions are conducted with individuals lying on the foam mats please do consider whether this is suitable for you if you have any problems with lying down, popping a cushion or blanket under your knees can help aid your comfort or you're welcome to bring a camping chair which is a comfortable alternative. I will have around 17 mats available but if you have your own yoga mat or camping mat please do bring it along, you can also be seated on your mat if this is more comfortable than lying down. Please do bring any pillows if this would help you to feel comfortable, some blankets are provided but please do bring a blanket if you would like to get extra comfortable. Please bring a bottle of water with you as you will be advised to drink a good amount after the session as your body will be flushing out toxins, and good hydration helps to avoid headaches as your body detoxes. If you have a pacemaker fitted I would advise, for your own safety, that this session is not suitable as the vibrations can be quite intense. It is also not advised for those under 20 weeks pregnant. This session is only suitable for ages 14+ as the vibrations have a strong effect on the body, inducing alpha and theta brain waves, aiding sleep and relaxation and this can be more overwhelming on younger individuals. I look forward to seeing you at a Sound Bath Meditation session in the future!
