EMG Solicitors presents a series of online lunchtime masterclasses focusing on care eligibility and funding, delivered by Sarah-Lyn Strong, a specialist Senior Associate Solicitor in our Court of Protection Health & Welfare team.

These masterclasses are aimed at deputies, solicitors, case managers, IFAs and anyone working on either side of compensation claims.

The webinars are scheduled for the dates below, covering the following topics:

• SESSION 1: Tuesday 1st October 2024 - NHS Funding 
  • This includes the NHS continuing healthcare, applying the eligibility criteria and S117 aftercare eligibility and scope.

• SESSION 2: Tuesday 5th November 2024 - Social Care Funding 
  • This includes Care Act eligibility, direct payments and choice of accommodation.

• SESSION 3: Tuesday 3rd December 2024 - Preparing for a Funding Challenge
  • This includes when to seek advice, timescales for a challenge and what makes good evidence.

There will be the opportunity to have your questions answered at the end of every session.

Masterclass tickets are charged at £50 per person per session, with a 50% discount if you wish to attend all three sessions.

Sarah-Lyn has worked within this area of law for her entire legal career since qualifying in 2015. With previously working at a local authority she has experience from both sides and has a vast knowledge of dealing with the Care Act 2014.
