Our monthly Walk is an informal get together for creatives who are serious about their business but are a little bit woo and want to lead from the heart.
Emma Croman is a photographer working with creatives and small businesses and identified a need for a get together that combined community and nature. A accredited walk leader and having studied nature connection, Emma wanted to combine all of these things. As a neurodivergent, Emma understands the chaotic and sometimes messy creative brain and wanted to priovide a tonic. She asks you come as you are and allow others to do the same.
Our events are held on the third Friday of every month and the location will be set a few days in advance but will always be around the Matlock area unless we have one of our special events on. In any locations not accessible by public transport there will be an option to be picked up from the station (limited spaces each month).
While I've scheduled 2 hours we will be walking for around 1-1.5 hours with an option to stay on as long as you want as sometimes we end up at the pub or going for an icecream. Some days might include a cuppa along the way. The walks will be varying in difficulty but there will mostly always be some styles, gates, fallen trees and walls to hop over as this is the Derbyshire Dales.
I've designed the start time to allow you to get your Friday tasks done and come and join to take a breath, I know it can feel hard taking time out of your business but I promise you, you'll come away refreshed with new framing.
IMPORTANT: these walks are very dog friendly meaning the location chose will allow for some good amount of time off lead. It is expected that you know your dog and it is your responsibility to make sure your dog is acting appropriately. Ollie will be present - he is a gentle giant and good with all dogs (if a bit over friendly sometimes but we're working on it and I will chat to any dog owners at the beginning fo the walk to chat through their dogs needs!). Any concerns or limitations, drop me a line!
